A collaborative project with KGCA and artist, Daniel Kirk, with the goal to add colour, beauty and creativity to the exterior of the community association. Nicole’s portion of the painting also involved the community to encourage local pride and joy for the mural.

Nicole Kurceba was selected by the Killarney Glengarry Community Association to partner with fellow local artist, Daniel Kirk, for a collaborative outdoor mural. They submitted a group proposal to the City of Calgary and were approved for full funding through the 2025 Community-Initiated Public Art Microprojects. Nicole’s addition to the project included not just her own contribution to the mural, but also a community painting event which Nicole marketed and hosted. The event invited people to participate in her painting, and successfully gathered over 100 participants. Nicole hopes the mural will be visited by participants and residents of the community to share and admire.
